Ice skating

So my class had a out door week at the end of the year we all got to choose what we wanted to do. I choose to do ice skating on the Monday at the start I completely freaked out it felt like I was going to live on the ice for ever because I nearly fell over hundreds of times but at the end I didn't fall over. Clara helped me get away from the wall and she took my hand and paled into the middle if she didn't I would have been clinging onto the wall for the hole time. Mak Bluebell Aaliya and I went into the middle and made videos of each other after Mak and Bluebell had the worst fall ever Bluebell now has a huge bruise on side of her leg. After that we sadly had to leave and some how I didn't fall over and it was only my first time.

On October 31 my class own a trip to the beach and there were lots of game and activities, Ella and I were spending all our time in the water and we didn’t even here when we got told to come in because there was a tsunami coming and Ella got out just in time I tried to go fast as I can but ended up getting court in the waves next thing I see flashing lights and sirens as I get lifted into a bed then I see Brad there asking me how I felt I said I was fine. The paramedic asked me my name and I said “My name is Maia Blue-Werth” She thanked me well actually I couldn’t tell if it was a boy or a girl they seemed very young though.

My Mihi

So in literacy at the moment we have been working on our mihi and this is mine.

In math we got a turn to use Tessellation creator and I made a honey cone.

We have been doing science at the moment and i made hokey pokey this is the recipe of how to make it.

Hokey pokey 

What we need: Sugar

 - ½ cup Sugar

 - ¼ cup Golden syrup

 -  2 tsp Baking Soda

 Steps: Place sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring continuously until sugar dissolves. Boil gently for approximately 4 minutes. Remove pan from the heat and quickly stir in the baking soda until the mixture foams. Work quickly or the mixture will set in the pan. Pour immediately into prepared tin and leave to cool and set. Break into chunks when cold. Store in an airtight container, separated by pieces of nonstick baking paper.

 Tip: When cooking hot, sugary mixtures such as hokey pokey, take great care not to spill any of the mixture on yourself as hot sugar sticks and can result in bad burns. 

Tip: Note that in humid weather, hokey pokey will attract moisture from the air and may become quite wet and sticky and appear to melt. It still tastes good, though. 

Tip: Transfer quickly to an airtight container to prevent hokey pokey deteriorating.

Fading away-diary of Liliana

”Every thing I saw was wrong”..

“Nothing made sense and was all fading away”. My name is Liliana i am and awfin.

I live in a house Fare away from any town or city Liliana liked it quite. i have never been heard of in the closest town. my father “john” died at war and my mother “Margrit” she never knew. Liliana always wanted to find out what happened to her mother but she couldn’t. There was know way of finding out because she lived in the house with her mother until she walked up and notest her mother was gone.Liliana has lived in that house ever since ”looking for research to find out how here mother died. And before it all ends…


“ I woke up in the morning and saw the light from my window”.

“It was a knew dawn and the bird chirping away in a tree. There was nothing more perfect than that except for one thing it was fading away. “When my mother was younger she said.” There will always be something fading away”. And there was the tree of hope. It was called the tree of hope because it had brought people hope when they have been struggling.It always helped me and know it is living me,just like my mother did.( Liliana thought) The day was passing by when I saw someone standing at my house? She had long black hair ,tall,toned body figure.I examine the lady for a while as she stood at the door.Creepy, I thought what dose she want.”Liliana are you home”? The stranger called from the distance.”yes, I am right here”. the lady ran towards her and looked her in the eye and said.”I am your aunt”.

My mind was exploding i never thought i had any relations left.

“Is there something wrong Liliana”? “No not at all” I asked here if she was my mothers sister and she was. Everything is coming together know.But i was wondering if she knew anything about my mother and what her name was. “ is there something you want to know Liliana”. “Yes there is first off what is your name? And second do you know any thing about my mother”? “My name is suzania and yes i do know about your mother and i came here to see if you where still alive”. “Your mother was kidnapped and taken to a camp .sadly, I don’t know any more from there”. Suddenly a letter slipped and the door.

Careers

We got to start by taking a 78 question quiz.Some of us got 100 jobs all of my jobs where medical related. I had to narrow them down to 5 then pick the one i was most interested in that was a Radiation Oncologist.About a week later a group of student went to a careers expo. I was one of them and I got to have a feel of different jobs are like.After we got to research our job. I had 8 weeks to complete work for the careers show at our school.

Those 8 weeks had parsed by and that was the day we had the careers show. I didn't have very many people come to the stand but I did learn and it was hard.

Throughout the careers we did strength explores and did a quiz my top 3 strength where... Organizer,Confidence,Dependability. Organizer helped me get things done in time. Confidence helped for when people came to the stand. Dependability was great so when i was done I could help others.

My Work!

                This week I have been working on my career. 

My career is Radiation Oncologist and when you are a Radiation Oncologist you look after people with cancer and give them treatment. I have made a slide show and this it I hope you think t is good.

On Thursday the 30 of may a group of people from Rawhiti school and i went to a leader ship day. Where students from all around Christchurch went to it there was about more than 2 thousand students. We got told that what is food of a leader it is conversation. Many different people came to talk and all said that a leader food is conversation but in different ways. This is the people and the order they talked to us in. The most inspirational one for me was Ronnie. He showed you should stay strong and always see the light in things.

Yesterday at school we took a test on what we would be good at for our dream job. This is my favorite results.

Today we had to mix up in our groups and tried different activities. Each teachers had a different activity and my favorite was with Sharon. We had to watch a movie and write done every word after My I got 16 words. The other activity where great also one was languages and the other was drama.

My goals for Milo this term is to in my art to be more creative in what i am doing and to try different styles of art. In dance i am trying different lifts and moves.

My goals for learning are to improve my editing with my writing.

Tech

Today at tech we did cooking and it was the best time ever we got to make a takeaway breakfast in a jar. What it  had in it was berry oats sugar coconut apple and cinnamon it was delicious.  

My Milo

I have been getting things ready with Charlotte for taking kids for choice and challenge and doing gym. In that we do moves and take them through step by step moves. Our next step is to video our moves to show to the kids.

I have been doing art. In art we are painting cool pictures and in our pictures we have been mixing paint with water and I made a galaxy picture and Charlotte made a pink and blue spots

We are also been making up a dance with Charlotte we are making a dance to dollhouse.

During term one I went on a school trip to the art gallery. I saw lots of shapes in pieces of art and different Sculptures and paintings.
It was inspiring and very Creative. I loved how there was things in places you would never Imagine. Ever since I went there I have been drawing better and being more inspired.
