To work out the area of a rectangle you have to times the length with the width.
If the rectangle is 5 metres wide and then 7 metres long then the it would look like this.
A= L x W
= 5 x 7
=35 sq metres

Hi Abby I had not known any of this math because we learn easy stuff but sometimes its hard for me, so this was really helpful. Maybe next time you can explain it in easier way for me or anyone else that doesn't understand.
